20 Things To Do Before I Die

1. Sky dive - sure hope I will be able to do this since my cousin said that one jump costs about $100 and that was 10 years ago...

2. Bungee jump - it was said that there used to be one in Subic before but when we went there, they weren't doing it anymore.

3. Parasailing - tried it in Subic and it was GREAT! At first I felt kind of nervous about it, I kept reminding myself that I've dreamt before of flying and it felt great and that parasailing would probably feel the same way. I wasn't exactly right with that analysis. It just felt like I was on a swing up in the air. We were supposed to have gone up to 400 feet and it didn't feel like 400 feet - maybe because it was on the water and it's hard to judge distances there or whatever. All the difference that I could see was that the people on the boat got smaller, but I wasn't sure if that was because I was going up or going farther. Anyway, whatever, it was a great 10 minutes of my life!

4. Swim with dolphins (and/or whales too) - I've heard that there's a place in Australia where you the dolphins are so tame, so used to humans, that they actually swim towards humans on the shore. Since dolphins stay there year-round, majority of dolphin research came from this place. Although I supposed I've sort of done this... swam with the Whale Shark, anyway. Oh! Wait, almost forgot, I have swam with whales - in Subic. It's not in the open sea or anything, but I was in the water with them while two trainers were telling me and my cousin stuff about them. They also allowed us to feed the whale, ride the whale, dance with the whale, and rub the whale's tongue.

5. Swim in the Great Barrier Reef - the best dive spot in the world, I've been told. Enough said.

6. Swim with Great White Sharks (in a really, really, really strong and safe cage) - but then one night I actually thought really hard about this and tried to imagine it actually happening... and it's quite scary. This wish, I think, will be pending.

7. Dive in Palawan - I did my very first introductory dive in Palawan, but it was from the shore to a part that was maybe about 10-20 feet deep and not really into the deep waters where all the pretty fishes and reefs are. Now that I have my diving license (although it's a good 4 years since my last dive), I'd definitely want to dive there one of these days. Just one problem... one night at the cheapest resort there can cost PHP14,000...

8. Have sex (make love) underneath the stars - I was in Donsol and with my family on a firefly river night cruise when this idea popped into my head. It was gorgeous in the river, see, there were no lights for miles around and I could totally see the night sky. You don't get that kind of view anywhere. While my whole family was scanning the areas for fireflies, I was bending my head and giving myself a crick in the neck, just looking at the very clear night sky. So there I was, enjoying the stars and trying to remember the constellations that I know and every now and then, glacing back at the terrain to check out fireflies (really pretty too), just enjoying myself in an innocent non-sex way when this idea popped into my head: it would probably be nice to be having sex and seeing all that gorgeous night sky and stars spread out before you. Right? Hahaha This'll take a while (a loooong while) before there is any chance whatsoever of it coming true. And if it does, I ain't telling. Hahaha

9. Go on a backpacking tour of Europe - or heck, any tour of the entirety of Europe would be awesome.

10. a. Go on road trip around the USA - all that nicely paved highways with no traffic (compared here) and decent drivers on the road? Sign me up!

10. b. Go on a road trip in the Philippines (with friends or alone) - I've been on road trips with family, but I think it'd be cool to try this with friends. Or alone. But then lonely females travelling alone isn't that safe, I supposed I'd have to do this with (a) friend/s.

11. Visit Africa - coz it's untamed and all that? And I'd want to try meeting aboriginal people and going on a Safari.

12. Visit famous landmarks around the world - been to some, I'm not saying which ones (love my family), but there are still places out there that I want to go to. Again, the main problem here is monetary.

13. Visit ruins of old civilizations in the world - been to, uh, some (how many are there in the world, anyway?), but I'm quite looking forward to visiting Mayan ruins and those in South America. Also those weird heads facing the sea in St. James' Island (?).

14. Visit Ireland and Scotland and spend some time there - I've read loads of books about the beauty and magic of these places and I definitely want to visit. Of course, the fact that I find their accents so sexy doesn't hurt! Haha

15. Live a year (at least) in the Britain (and, maybe USA too) - just for variation and to see how they actually live on a day-to-day basis. And while I'm in UK, I'll fake a British accent and see if it fools anybody. Haha

16. Get to ride in a private plane or yacht - as if it's going to happen or that there's any chance of it happening (hey, it's not like I know anybody rich enough to have these), but, they, I can dream, right?

17. Ride in a or drive a motorcycle - one of my more attainable wishes.

18. Drive a convertible or just be able to drive in the USA (as in, main roads) for a while - may be attainable. The main problem here is going to the USA in the first place. Once there... well, maybe I can wheedle my cousin to ask if I could drive their car...

19. Publish a book - hahaha, I wish!

20. Ride all the roller coasters of the world - but if I can ride all the roller coasters in the States, I'm good with that. Why this? Coz I looooooove roller coasters!

Hm. Here's my list. I know a few can change as I go on with my life (change in priorities or I get to them; hopefully it's the latter haha), but right now, these are the things that I would want to do, want to try, one day. Actually, I have more things I want to do, but these'll do for now.
