I don't think the reason for this post will make sense to anyone other than me, but since this is my blog, I'm posting this to remind me of the people around me whom I am grateful for.

THANK YOU

I see in you worth beyond compare
I see you deserving of pride and love more than ever
I see in you the best of who you are and can be
And never did I think that you saw the same in me.

I would give up my life if I had to, for you
I would do everything in my power to see you through
I would do what I could to be the person you need me to be
And never did I think you would do the same for me.

I care for you just because, with no thought as to returns or gains
I like you for all your weaknesses, strengths, loves and pains
I love you for all that you are, all that you were, and all that you ever will be
And never did I think you felt the same for me.

Then one day you did to me all that I knew I could do for you
In my moment of doubt, you proved your love for me true
When I questioned my worth, you showed me I was deserving
When I doubted my confidence, you were the push to get me going
When I thought I was alone, you were the light that guided, comforted, and helped me see
It’s blessed and grateful I am, that I am to you what you always were to me.

Though I think that the worth seen in me is probably just the same that I see in you
And that reimbursement was never an issue
Though I know that we’re equal in all that we feel
And if I make an issue out of it, you’d just say it’s not a big deal
Though I am only now learning that I am to you what you’ve always been to me
It’s still a blessing that I’m glad I can now see.
