This is actually posted on May 7, but since I'll be detailing my vacation, I decided to click the very nice date selector at the bottom of blogger and chose the correct dates for the right entries. Also, I was going to post loads of pix, but I realize that it might be too much and my page would take forever to load due to the many pix. So I'll just post a few. Anyway, here we go:

S'pore-Manila, Day 4

The day I was leaving.

My flight was 510 and I decided not to go out anymore that day. At 130, I took a taxi to the airport, checked-in, passed through immigration and ate at Burger King.

Then I wandered over to the shops coz I had a lot of time to kill. Check out what I saw:

The covers are soooo pretty! I saw Harry Potter and David Eddings and Robert Jordan and Terry Goodkind and all their books had really nice covers! Covers I didn't see anywhere here in the Philippines. I think they're European publications. And I really want them. I couldn't, though, because they cost about S$16-18. There was one of David Eddings, The Tamuli's trilogy all in one. It's reeaaaally nice. Also expensive, costing S$34. I ended up buying 3 David Eddings books, though. Totally never-found here in the Pinas. It's The Rivan Codex, Regina's Song, and the second book of The Dreamers entitled The Treasured One. Actually, I think that last book will be released here in a few months, but, the cover was soooo pretty. Couldn't resist. Hee.

In the bathroom, I saw Erica. Apparently, we're on the same flight out. Also went to the Night Safari the night before, but I was at the 6pm tour while she went on the 8pm tour.

Across our gate was this signboard that grated on my nerves.

Erm... "Relieve legs cramps..."????? Call the grammar police. That's a subject-verb disagreement.

When I arrived, it was to be welcomed into the hot and humid and tree-less city of Manila. Haaaay. Home sweet home.

Touchdown was at 830, 10 minutes earlier than our original eta. I was out at 840 (no check-in luggage, nothing to declare, no bathroom stops; I love travelling fast) but my brother came by around 924. And I couldn't put my bag down coz I didn't trust the floor. People spit there. People sweep it but nothing else. I was not about to put my bag down on that floor.

There were policemen around the arrivals area had the glow-in-the-dark yellow thingie that road police people usually have. Written on the bad is "LSWA", which, translated to text
language, means "laswa", yes?
