Never Gone

First, I was stunned and shocked. Then I was in disbelief. Then I just cracked up. And not due to happiness.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Backstreet Boys have returned.

Trish told me about it but I didn't believe it. My reaction was, "they're alive??" I had thought they had dropped off the face of the Earth and would never record albums as a group again... but apparently, they're back. And their album title? Never Gone which means something, I'm sure, but I can't quite figure out what (yes, I'm being sarcastic).

I can believe I was crazy about these people waaaay back when. And they're back, looking different. I personally think that Nick should definitely lose some weight, I'm very grateful Howie went back to his old hair, AJ looks the same post-rehab, Brian looks the same, and Kevin's sporting very short hair and a goattee.

The songs nothing too fantastic and I guess I'll see how their other songs sound like before thinking about whether or not to buy their albums. Somehow, though, I have a feeling I might buy their latest if only for old times' sake.

Yay! Sir Ian McKellen is set to play Sir Leigh Teabing in the 2006 movie The Da Vinci Code! Yay yay! I'm still annoyed that Tom Hanks got lead, but so far, all the other casts are lining up nicely. Jean Reno (the French spy guy in Godzilla) plays Bezu Fache, Audrey Tautou (an original French actress) plays Sophie Neveu, while Alfred Molina (er... who's he?) plays Bishop Aringarosa.

Hm... wonder who'll play Silas?
