In Biochemistry today, we discussed neurotransmitter and our professor told us about an experiment conducted in the States. Five women were asked to wear the same clothes for two days, without bathing, and their clothes were given to the researchers. The researchers than asked for the said clothes and they were given to five men who haven't met previous women and who were asked to rate the scent (would stink be a better word? hee!) of the clothes, based on what they found most attractive. Then, at some random function or whatever, the researchers made sure that the five men and women met... and waddya know? The men were attracted to the women who's scented shirt they found the most attractive. The moral of the story is (Prof's words, not mine) that people tend to be attracted to other people of the same immune system. Yes, you read me right. Immune system.
So I s'pose I should just ask guys what their immune system is in order to find my man, eh?
And that since smell is the most primitive of all senses, and is quite a big factor when it comes to attraction, maybe I should also forego bathing and changing clothes for the next two days, eh? And whoever gets attracted by my scent is... well... hm... how would I call a guy who ends up liking a girl who hasn't bathe in two days? A term that wouldn't sound outright derogatory, that is. Hee.
But seriously... while it's very interesting to figure out the scientific explanations behind attractions and emotions and lust and love and all that... wouldn't it be better and much more fun if you just go out, follow your heart (or eyes or, um, genitals, or scent or immune system), and fall?
Studying to be a doctor (and even if I wasn't), I have to admit to being interested in all these scientific experiments... but at the end of the day, when you love someone, don't you just love them for them?
