Watched Ocean’s 12 yesterday – and it was actually pretty good.

But, anyway, backtrack slightly yesterday. We had a test in the morning and it sucked crap (and why don't my smileys work anymore???) Huhuhuh it was sooooo hard! I guess in a sense, it was also my fault. After all, I only started studying about 630-7pm the night before and ended up finishing at about 3 (with a 1-hour break some time between) then couldn’t sleep until 4… but I kept waking up too. Yet surprisingly, I didn’t have the grainy-eyes brain-heavy feeling the next day. In fact, I was pretty okay. Then I took the test. And it was just really crappy. I’m sure I failed there... :( unless they lower the MPL waaaaay low. In which case, I have a fighting chance.

Oh well, at least our next exam in endocrine, I hope to get higher there since our exam only covers one lecture. Unfortunately, kasabay niya ang pagka-haba na coverage ng biochem. So… good luck nalang sakin. Or samin since kasama ko mga kaibigan kong irregs :p hee!

Also, may practical exam kami na kasabay for our next evals. Which is hard since we weren’t really able to dissect anything in our cadaver (kind of hard and… well… matigas masyado and… lam mo na…) that was of significance – unless it’s the corpuses of the penis and some parts of the scrotum. Otherwise… we really don’t know anything. And I don’t remember what our histology slides look like anymore. Haaaaay. Good luck to us nalang. And hopefully, too, we’ll be able to make bawi when neuroanat comes around – medyo masmadali siya eh.

So, after, I watched Ocean’s 12 with a friend to loosen up and somehow make me feel better about the lousy morning’s test. I did feel better, actually LOL after picking apart every trailer that was shown. Hee hee.

Anyway, before going on, I have to warn that I’ll write down spoilers.

So… Ocean’s 12 wasn’t such a bad flick, although Lady said that Ocean’s 11 was kinda boring at the start because it’s all talk and she thinks that Ocean’s 12 would be the same. She’s kinda right, really, but it wasn’t so bad. I thought it would be boring talk-talk, but it’s actually quite interesting.

And I have to admit… somewhere deep inside of me… is the fondest dream of being a really good thief LOL I’d like that, I think. But I certainly wouldn’t steal so I could own, I’d steal to, like, tell the government or museum (or whoever owns that priceless whatever) to show them that their security isn’t really that good and that they should improve it since, after all, I was able to get through. Or something. I’d probably steal something, keep it for a day, then return it with no one the wiser. Since, after all, wouldn’t it be harder to return whatever I stole to the exact place it was stolen rather than simply stealing it?

It’s all about the challenge, for me, not really about the money. If I were after the money, then I’d probably steal from corrupted officials who also steal from others. So I won’t feel so bad stealing from someone who already stole from others :p heh. My conscience would bother me too much if it were anything else.

If it were a perfect world, though, I’d be like the Night (or was it Black?) Fox (loved Catherine Zeta-Jones’ pronunciation of that) who was super rich and titled and only stole for the challenge. That’d be cool. Since, really, stealing is only all about the challenge of being able to best an opponent.

Anyway… I had a few questions about the flick after it was all said and done:

1. How did Lamark (?) know about the egg thing? I know he’s the best thief there ever was so was his knowing just a remnant of his old life? Y’know, keeping up with the times and such even if he had no intention of stealing it? And since he knew all that… why would he help Ocean’s 12? What was in it for him? Nothing. So, why, why, why?

2. Following above's line of thought... why, then, would he turn his back on his own student? Doesn't make any sense.

3. Catherine Zeta-Jones spent practically the entire movie with single-minded determination in finding and catching Ocean’s 12 as well as Night Fox. Then at the end, she’s all friends with Ocean’s 12. What gives? Why the sudden change? Ok, so she and Brad Pitt are a thing – those two can convey love, lust, passion, unrequited love and regret for the lost years in a single glance! - and so what, her father’s Lamark (which I figured out halfway into the movie; as well as her choosing her profession probably because she wanted to find her father… or her own way of dealing with her father issues). Again, why the sudden change?

4. I assume the Night Fox paid off Benedict for the 12, but what happened to the egg? Did they cash it somewhere? Keep it forever? Did they… something? So what happened to the 12’s finances then?

At the end of the day, though, it was really glorious fun. Heh. Would probably buy both this movie and first the movie. It was jolly good fun :)

Yesterday, too, I finally finished my very first fan fiction (a story using anime characters)! Yay me! Although I didn't like the way it turned out overly much :( Still, it's a first try... and I guess it wasn't so bad. I liked how the beginning turned out... then it started to get all weird on me halfway through. And yet... the story felt... done. So... I dunno. Maybe I'll leave it for a few days before tweaking it a bit. If at all.
