Recap

1. Someone was calling my cellphone at the ungodly hour of 6am. It was a 'diverted call' and I never divert! I was ignoring it but the caller was apparently willing to wait me out since my ring tone was on it's second run when I finally gave up and answered. Guess what the male voice said? "Hello? Mushi mushi" which, you can imagine, didn't improve my mood at all. I'm beginning to get annoyed by someone I don't even know, by the name of Katrina Reyes. I believe she's got the 0916 version of my 0917 cell number. I have answered calls looking for "Katrina" and of course, I can't immediately say "wrong number" even though the voice doesn't sound familiar at all. So I have to go "Katrina who?" or "sinong Katrina?" before establishing the fact that sorry, he got the wrong number. I also get texts from unknown numbers about topics I'm oblivious about. Why don't people get that number right?! And if she's the one diverting all the calls to me, then why? Whatever did I do to her?!! Argh!! Get your numbers right, for crying out loud! Don't her friends have her number of their phonebooks? Why do they keep calling me?! It's annoying. I'm in the middle of something and someone calls. I now have this healthy irritation for any unknown number that shows up on my call/text register.

2. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles got married yesterday. And it grates on my nerves that she's gotten the title "Duchess of Cornwall" and will, upon Charles' ascention to the throne, be automatically queen. She can, of course, choose not to use the title and I hope she kinda does. If I can't stomach her as the queen and I'm not even English, I can just imagine how Brits feel. As far as I know, majority still don't like her. And I was so confused. As far as I knew, the entire royal family was against the marriage, and yet there they were in complete attendance post-wedding and pre-reception. What gives?!!

3. Prince William Arthur Philip Louis has a girlfriend named Kate Middleton. Her name sounds familiar and I have no idea why. I remarked to Trish why my men always seem to fall for girls named 'Kate'. First it was Orlando Bloom with Kate Bosworth (thank God they've broken up, although after 3 years; and I can't believe she'll be Lois Lane in the next Superman movie!)... then now it's William with Kate Middleton. What's next? Gerard Butler with Kate Moss (please tell me she's taken and this has no chance of happening) and Oliver James with... with... Mary Kate Olsen (I don't know anyone else named Kate within his age bracket). Ugh.

4. Pope John Paul II was interred (love that word) Friday. I wasn't able to watch it because I was studying, but I assume it was suitably solemn and done with just enough aplomb. I'm definitely watching the Conclave, though. Isn't that starting on the 15th? I'm definitely watching. Not just coz I'm interested who our next pope will be (I barely know the cardinals), but because watching it is, like, history in the making. I want the process more than I want the result. I have every faith that the cardinals will choose the most suitable cardinal among them to be pope. According to the prophecies, though, the next pope will be known as the "Black Pope" either coz he'll be black or coz his actions sort of make him seem black-ish. According to Armageddon (?) whatevers, PJ2 was the third to the last pope.
