I hate being a girl during that time of the month. Ugh. The pain, oh the pain... the uncomfortable feeling... ugh. I was in microscopy lab and I was just complaining and complaining about the pain. Good thing, I had done half of the work the night before (electron micrographs of the specimens we were viewing under the light microscope). All I had to do was to draw the light microscope views and viola, am done. And I did that within the first hour and then spend the next half hour to one hour complaining and slightly bent over because my puson was hurting like hell. I then voiced if I could leave early to Dr. Jolejole and he said that he wasn't sure. But it was really uncomfortable and sitting on stools didn't really help so I had to stand up with my back a little bent. I didn't have to wait that long, though, since we were dismissed pretty early. Isn't it funny how, when something hurts, it helps to complain long and loud to anyone who would listen? LOL Granted, I think a whole lot of people learned that I had my period that day but, really, I had to complain. It was the only perk! And besides, it really did hurt.
And ironically, we were studying blood smears :p
Edit:
Here I was complaining about being a woman, when all these pales in comparison to the miracle that a woman can do: we can give birth! We perpetuate humanity! So, there, men :p hehehe thanks to Serene for reminding me of that and congrats to her and her hubby for their bouncing baby boy!! Yay humanity!!
"Each child born reaffirms my faith that God has not lost hope on humanity yet" :)
