SHOE SHOP
I'm trying to think of a topic for my blurg today, but nothing really comes to mind. So... now what to write...?
Well... I went shopping today. My mom and I left at around 11 to go to Makati. We went to the commercial center because I had a transaction for bidshot and then I wanted to look at Rustan's for a shoe sale Trish told me about. Also, I wanted to look at Landmark for sleeveles pajamas/nightgowns.
There were a few shoes in the sale that I really wanted but couldn't get because they didn't have my shoe size. I love the size of my feet and hands because I think they're quite cute (yes, I'm slightly vain when it comes to hand/feet size) because they're quite small. I realize that they are really small, but imagine if they weren't and I was small. Wouldn't that be too weird? Not of proportions?
I'm not going to write my shoe size since that's a state secret (*wink*) but it is quite small. And it's very hard to look for shoes in my size. After being disappointed in Rustan's, I went off to Landmark to see their shoe selection and most of what I liked didn't have my size. I'm used to it but sometimes I miss shoe shopping in the USA. I've only been able to shoe shop in the USA once, the last time we were there, and it's quite fun and easy. Because they group the shoes by size. You go to your size and see what shoes they have. I think it's easier that way although it does take up more space - which is why I think we don't follow that practice here. And, frankly, while I do enjoy shoe shopping in the USA, I was horrified to realize that size one shoes fit me! Size one!! I mean, those are kiddie sizes!! Kiddies! Kids!! Little kids!! Needless to say, I walked out of that store without having bought anything. LOL
I scored some really pretty sandals today, though. Sandals that actually fit! And I sure hope they'll be comfortable in the long run. Because sometimes you buy shoes that feel comfy and fit fine... but then you use them for one day of intense walking (read: window shopping) and you realize that it hurts when you wear it too long.
And sometimes, I tend to favor fashion over comfort. Because (1) really nice shoes I love are hard to find in my size so when I do find one I tend to buy them, even if maybe they're not THAT comfy and (2) they're really really pretty shoes! I think it's a girl thing... but then sometimes I think it's a Me thing... Hee.
On a completely different topic... yahoo is taking forever to load the pix I'm going to send out to Ina. My gosh... 44 minutes and so-so seconds until it's done... What to do while waiting, I wonder?
