BERLIN, GERMANY
Taxis

Of course, after the airport, what is the first thing of another country that you see? The airport's driveway. Included in that are the transfers, buses, coaches, and, yes, the taxis. And in Germany... oh my gosh... they use MERCEDEZ BENZ as taxis!! How degrading is that? LOL In the Philippines, they are luxery cars and if you have it, you're rich. In Germany... gosh, I've never seen so many Mercedez Benz, BMWs, Volks, Peugot (?), Aston Martins, Alfa Romeo's in my life. And there's also this really cool-looking car which has the name "Smart" stamped at the trunk. Is that a car brand or model? I have no idea. I know that this is a German country and it's a German car so it's probably really cheap, right? Still. I wince to think about taxi drivers driving all over the city with the words "taxi" spelled out in bold lighted black or yellow letters on their Benzes and BMWs. It's just... very degrading!

Yet my faith in the world has been restored LOL taxi drivers are the same the world over. Yknow how people complain in the Pinas about taxi drivers? How they're kaskaseros and all that? It's the same the world over. I was sitting in the front seat of our taxi - a E350? MB model - and I would wince and hold my breath because the driver would plunge in and out of traffic like he was driving a... a... a... a non-Benz. Nakikipag-gitgitan pa! With another Benz! When he drives, parang akala mo... well, kala mo taxi driver! Grabe talaga.

There were so very few Japanese cars there. Nakaka-degrade sa car. Yet if it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't have been able to ride in front of a Mercedez Benz. Heh.
