It's so weird to be going on a trip again. I don't know why but it just feels so different... almost unreal-like... to be leaving tonight and going on a tour. I guess I didn't think I'd be able to go to another country while taking up med, because (1) tuition is damn expensive and (2) no time.
I'm so lucky to have parents like mine, who save and enjoy traveling. Other people might not enjoy touring because of the usual "what will I do there?" questions, but I love touring. I love going to other places, the more historic, the better. The more exotic the place, the better. For example, I'd love to visit Africa... the safaris and even the tribes there (obviously, not the dangerous ones...). Tibet would also be cool. And South America, although I'd probably not be overly fond of the beaches there that is their main tourist attraction. No, in South America, I'd want to check out Incas, Mayans and all the ancient civilizations out in the middle of the jungle/s. I'd also want to visit the weird rock-heads in St. James' Isle. It seems apt since I've already visited Stonehenge, the Pyramids of Egypt and I saw in Discovery that those three structures are somehow connected to each other.
But my favorite continent is Europe. I love the ambiance, the environment, the weather! I especially like United Kingdom - Scotland (love to see Loch Ness! & the castles where Highlander clans used to live), Ireland (their myth and legends are very deeply connected to the land and sea), France (Paris - need I say more? But I want to see the French countryside), and England. Just... all the countries in Europe. They're so rich in history, in culture... it's just great to just be there. Besides, they seem so... cosmopolitan.
America, of course, is the Land of the Free. I like that place too, but maybe it has to do with my loved ones living there. My favorite place is New York City - probably cause of the diversity and Broadway Avenue (love the plays!).
Which is why I probably need to ready myself to a future of saving all my earnings so I can travel and possibly being with someone (when I get married) who enjoys traveling AND touring as much as I do. That would be loads fun.
Ok... Now I REALLY want to leave. I just can't believe that we have to be in NAIA (or MIA or whatever they call it) FOUR HOURS before the flight. Wtf?!!! The only thing I dislike about traveling? Airport waits. Ugh. SO annoying. 'Xept for stopovers in Frankfurt where we stayed in lounge... they had REALLY good hot chocolate...
