Week In A Nutshell (as if I can say anything in a 'nutshell')

Last Saturday, had a grand old time with old friends. Shirl, Ro, Trish, and I parked our butts on Shirl's couch and proceeded to watch dvd after vcd of Sailormoon. We ordered Yellow Cab pizza and 2 spaghetti-&-meatballs and Shirl offered 1.5 liter bottles each of Coke, Pepsi, and 7-Up (we each had our preference). Seven hours into the film, we finished 1 1/2 of the spaghetti, 2 1/2 of the bottles, and slightly more than 1/2 of the pizza. We started watching at 1:25, pizza arrived at around 2... finished watching (and eating) at 10 past. I know, I know, we ate like pigs :p but it tasted sooo nice and it was sooo fun. Good food, good company, good show It was 10 and we were watching the last episode of the night when we realized it would've been better to have made it an overnight thing. Well, at least we know hehehe maybe next time, when we have another marathon must do again. It was loads fun. We didn't get to talk much (between eating and watching, when would we talk?) but it was the company that mattered. Just hanging out, drooling over Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask/Endymion and Haruka (she's a damn fine good-looking boy-ish woman), gushing over the whole Mamo-Usako love story, and laughing hysterically at the damn funny moments in the series. Bitin talaga kami nun.


Finals has started... biochem laboratory wasn't too bad but I don't want to get confident. Biochem finals was hell and I hate it. We had it this morning (or should I say, yesterday morning?) and it kicked my ass . I sure wish they'd give in and give removals. But then I hope I got a cumulative high enough score that I don't need to take the removals. Likewise for anatomy, which'll happen on the 28th (so I'm off-limits - theoretically - from the net until then).


Bought Daimos and Voltes V the other day... childhood cartoons I've missed I always get confused with Daimos, Voltes V, and Voltron. Especially the last two. I keep thinking they're the 5 lions that merge. Voltes V is the "lets volt in!" bit, right? Where all five are in boxes then they put their index fingers to the center of the screen? Right. I'm still currently watching Daimos. I know I liked this show before and I know I loved the character of Erika (with those wings and the hairstyle I never forgot; a hairstyle I've wanted but never got), but watching it again, when I'm older and *ahem* wiser... she is quite annoying. In fact, there are things in the series that are annoying. The fact that they said they loved each other three episodes into the series. I'm all, wtf, they just met! They don't even know each other! And she's got amnesia!! And they haven't even really talked at all! How could they be in love?!! It's just silly. Although I must give them props - for a love that seemingly began coz they both think the other looks good sure is deep and strong. It has to be. It's the entire theme of the freaking series! The dubbing is funny... not as good as what we have now. The actors don't really emote all that well yet... and Johanna (Richard's younger sister) has a very... matinig na boses. Still, it's loads fun, just watching it now I get to re-live the whole "jet in!" and "daimos boob fan!" (ok, so it's really called "daimos blizzard!") For some reason, that particular fight tactic stuck in my head. That and the one with the robot pulling out spinning tops and flinging them about with its belt. Was that Voltes V?


Got a new crush object Oliver James. He was Ian in What A Girl Wants and was Jay in the more recent Raise Your Voice. He's adorable. I thought he was cute in wagw, but didn't really, um, pursue that since I thought he was a kid. At the oldest, about 2 years younger than I was. After ryv, I decided to check him out on the net. Waddya know? He's a 1980 baby! Yes! Puede na siya sakin LOL So, there he is, my new eye candy. Born in England (loooove the English accent), lives in LA, currently single (at least, wala akong nakitang taken na siya), been in love twice (so you know he ain't a playboy), is 5'11", and born on June 1 1980. Yay me! Mwah!
