Virginia
Continuing my kwento of my USA trip... after NJ/NYC, I flew to Washington DC/Virginia area to visit my relatives (aunt, uncle, cousins). Arrived around 8 or 9 at night and had dinner out in a yummy Chinese restaurant with the entire family. Again, I ate quite a bit. Then headed off to their house for some much-needed R&R.
I slept in a bit and spent the next day with my cousins and then, in the afternoon, picked up my cousin's girlfriend and went to the Spy Museum in DC. It was a great museum and the entire time I was there, all I could think of was, "my brother would so like this". He and my dad are into the whole spy thing. Much more than me. My cousin's girfriend, Bunny, was really nice and friendly and we got to hung out a bit while I was there. In the afternoon, we checked out Macy's (I think... I forget the mall's name) because it was on sale and while I had no plans of buying anything there (shopping in Pinas is much cheaper than the States), I wanted to check out some navel rings. There weren't any in that store, however, but it was fine. My aunt was such a sweetie though, even though it was late at night, she drove all the way to WalMart just so I can look at navel rings and maybe buy some. I did. Hee. They were so cute and so pretty. And much cheaper than the nice ones they sell here.
The next day, my aunt, two cousins, and Bunny, headed off to King's Dominion - coz I said I really wanted to go there and even though I've been there once before, I still wanted to go back. We had a blast. Got used to riding in rides alone LOL Because, obivously, my cousin and his girl will be seated together, yes? So I played solo. Still, had fun :) And at least now I know that even if I'm alone, I can certainly enjoy myself in a rollercoaster and in an amusement park.
Being in King's Dominion certainly brought home to me just how much I positively adore roller coasters, which is such a far cry from my childhood when I hated the blasted contraptions. Now, the scarier it is, the more I love it. I just hate the lines, though... I really do.
Anyway, I didn't have too many pictures on this leg of my journey because I didn't want to bring a digital camera (or any bag) to King's Dominion. My aunt brought hers but I haven't had the chance to ask for copies.
