PUNK’D

I was channeling hopping and saw "Punk’d" on MTV last night. They did a bit on Tommy Lee something – Pamela Anderson’s ex. And Nick Carter was with him. Wtf? Nick Carter?!! My Nick Carter (ex; part of the ‘dark years’ heh)?!! Wtf?!! It was just so weird! I didn’t even know those two hung out! And poor Nick, he was just fat, really. The guy has to stop liking… liking… whatever favorite food he eats all the time that, for the life of me, I can’t remember what.

Isn’t it funny how I was so obsessed with the Backstreet Boys before that I knew their favorite everything, their family member’s name, their past love stories and romances, and yet now, I can’t even remember Nick Carter’s favorite fatty food. I thought this guy liked scuba diving? Isn’t that an exercise? The guy enjoys eating waaaay too much.

I remember something Jessica Zafra said: how sometimes, the obsession consumes you so much that you fail to recognize the person you obsessed about. That the obsession became more important than that which obsessed you in the first place. Or something like that. It has no particular connection with what I saw with Punk’d but… I barely recognized Nick. And this from a guy I used to recognize even if you just give me a strand of his hair. And looking at him now, I can’t believe I daydreamed that this guy would some day be my future husband. His taste is girls – Willa Ford, Paris Hilton – leaves much to be desired. I wonder, though, why Paris called off the engagement. Weren’t they engaged for, like, ages?

And again, I can’t believe he’s friends with Tommy Lee. I mean… Tommy Lee is, like, this total bad boy and stuff and while Nick’s taste in girls does seem to show a trend of ‘bad’ girls… I can’t quite fathom him to be a "bad boy" even though he’s not the nicest guy around the block. Wow. Now he’s just… laos. So sad.

And now I’m reminded of one of the BSB’s songs that Nick sang off their first album, I think. First or second. If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy"… He seems to be taking his own advice to heart.
